On October 31, we will retire Google Earth versions 5 and 6. The pop-up ads are driving me nuts, and the 'close' buttons on the ads don't work. It is contaminating only my Safari browser but hasn't gotten into Firefox, which I also have. However, all of my bookmarks are in Safari. I found what seemed to be a reputable site that offered an adware removal program, but it required OS 10.7. My mac has OS 10.6.8. Is there a program for 10.6.8, or do I need to update my operating system? Any advice on a good adware or malware removal program gratefully received. Thanks and regards, Shane from Maine.
